Acceptable use policy
Effective date: March 25, 2026
Keep it clean, keep it fair
TradeNight, operated by Forge atelier numérique inc., is built on trust between collectors. This acceptable use policy sets the ground rules for how you interact on the Platform. It supplements our terms of service and applies to all activity on TradeNight, including live rooms, trade windows, chat, card posts, vouches, and your public profile.
The short version: trade honestly, treat people with respect, and don't ruin the experience for everyone else.
1. Trading conduct
Good trades start with honest representation. When you trade on TradeNight:
- Represent cards accurately. Post clear photos and honest descriptions. Disclose flaws, damage, and anything that affects a card's condition or value.
- Honor confirmed trades. When both sides confirm, that's a handshake. Follow through on shipping, payment, and any other commitments made in the trade window.
- No counterfeit or stolen cards. Do not post, offer, or trade cards you know or suspect to be counterfeit, stolen, or illegally obtained.
- No deceptive practices. Don't misrepresent card condition, grade, authenticity, or provenance to manipulate a deal.
2. Reputation integrity
The vouch system only works if it's honest. These practices are prohibited:
- Shill vouches: creating fake accounts or coordinating with others to inflate your own reputation.
- Vouch manipulation: buying, selling, or trading vouches.
- Retaliatory vouches: leaving a negative vouch solely because the other person left one about you.
- Dishonest vouches: leaving feedback that does not reflect your actual experience with the trade.
3. Community behavior
TradeNight is for collectors. Keep interactions respectful:
- No harassment. Don't threaten, intimidate, stalk, or bully other users — in public chat, trade windows, or any other feature.
- No hate speech. Content or conduct that promotes violence or discrimination based on race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic is not tolerated.
- No spam. Don't flood the live room, chat, or trade requests with repetitive, irrelevant, or promotional content.
- No impersonation. Don't pretend to be another collector, a TradeNight team member, or any other person or entity.
4. Content standards
Everything you post on TradeNight should be related to card collecting and trading. Do not post:
- Content that is illegal, obscene, or sexually explicit.
- Content that infringes on another person's intellectual property or privacy rights.
- Malware, phishing links, or other harmful content.
- Personally identifiable information of others without their consent (including real names, addresses, phone numbers, or financial details).
5. Platform security
Don't do anything that compromises the Platform or other users' experience:
- No bots, scrapers, or automated tools without written permission from TradeNight.
- No attempts to access accounts, systems, or data you are not authorized to access.
- No interference with the Platform's operation, including denial-of-service attempts, rate-limit evasion, or exploitation of bugs.
- If you discover a security vulnerability, report it to [email protected] instead of exploiting it.
6. Off-platform conduct
TradeNight is where the deal gets made, but trades often complete off-platform (shipping, payment). If a confirmed trade falls apart due to off-platform behavior (non-shipment, payment disputes, sending the wrong card), the affected collector can report the issue and leave an honest vouch. Repeated off-platform failures tied to confirmed trades may result in account action.
7. Enforcement
We review reports and take action proportional to the violation. Consequences may include:
- A warning.
- Temporary suspension from live events.
- Hiding or removing content (including vouches that violate this policy).
- Permanent account termination for severe or repeated violations.
We aim to be fair and consistent, but we reserve the right to take any action we deem necessary to protect the community.
8. Reporting violations
If you see something that violates this policy, report it. You can flag content directly on the Platform or email us at [email protected]. We review every report and keep reporter identity confidential where possible.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this acceptable use policy as the Platform evolves. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the Platform or by email.
